Guest Lecture on Content Analysis in Social Sciences

Centre for Research, Innovation and Training Cell of IIS (deemed to be University) organized one day workshop on Content Analysis in Social Sciences. The resource person for the session was Prof. Umesh Arya, Professor, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar. Dr. Arya gave his valuable inputs on Content Analysis method of research in the field of social sciences and commerce. He explained the steps to conduct a research in an accurate manner. The steps inclined the students to take variety of broad areas and work upon them through proper steps.

He also briefed about the advantage of content analysis and shared that this is the most effective and precise way of data analysis where in the rates of accuracy become high.

He further explained the basics of SPSS and the usage in modern social science research and application for the researchers and academicians as well. Dr. Arya helped the participants to frame hypothesis and objectives and apply them in the specific areas of research. Also rectified the queries of scholars. The participants learned content analysis and their application during the session. Prof. Arya shared his experienced and apprised the students about the problem faced by the researchers and academicians during research in social sciences.
