IIS (DEEMED TO BE UNIVERSITY), JAIPUR
CENTRAL INSTRUMENTATION (CIF) FACILITY
Guidelines for the Use of Central Instrumentation Facility(CIF) at IIS (Deemed to be University) Jaipur
Introduction
The Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) was established in the year 2023 with the support of the Consolidation of University Research for Innovation & Excellence in Women Universities (CURIE), an initiative of the Department of Science & Technology, (DST), New Delhi.
The Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) houses a wide range of major analytical instruments, operated and maintained by a team of dedicated, qualified scientists and engineers. Its primary goal is to support research for a better world and therefore the state-of-the-art facility is accessible to all researchers and developers, providing them with access to cutting-edge resources and equipment for their research and development endeavors.
Objectives of CIF
Instrumental methods of analysis are essential to any Research & Development programme. With this in mind, the primary objectives of the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) are:
1. To provide advanced analytical support to facilitate cutting-edge research and development.
2. To maintain and operate a wide range of major analytical instruments, ensuring their availability and optimal performance.
3. To foster a collaborative environment where researchers from various disciplines can access and utilize state-of-the-art analytical tools.
4. To support and enhance the quality of research by offering expert guidance and technical assistance.
5. To contribute to scientific innovation and discovery by providing reliable and precise analytical data.
The CIF is available for use by the students and faculty of IIS (Deemed to be University) academic institutes, Research institutes and Industries.
A schedule outlining the description of equipment and costs for various analyses and services is given hereunder.
