Report on Two–Day National Workshop on Research Plan & Proposal

Research Plan is a Mechanism that can potentially avoid problems that might emerge in a research work during the later phases. It acts as foundation on the basis of which our research work leads to the preparation of thesis for manuscripts for scientific publications.

In its pursuit to have better Understaneting of an effective Research Plan, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Centre for Research Innovation and Training (CRIT), The IIS University, Jaipur organized a 2 days National workshop on Research Plan & Process. The Objective of the workshop was to help the participants to design their research ideas in a way that ensures a logical flow of information.

The Workshop received an overwhelming response from the Research Scholars and faculty members. In all 52 participant were selected on first come first serve basis.

The inaugural session of the workshop was graced by luminaries from the different field of academics. Dr. K.S. Sharma, Advisor, the IIS University gave the welcome address, Dr. Ashwani Kumar from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai was the key note speaker of the session, Dr. Subhash Garg, Dean and Director, CRIT, The IIS University, acquainted the august gathering with the aims and objectives of the workshop as well as the activities of CRIT and Dr. Priyanka Mathur, Workshop Convener proposed a formal vote of thanks.

These experts acquainted the participants with fundamentals of research, formulation of research problem, review of literature, issues of plagiarism references and bibliography styles, types of sampling, determination of sample size, Ethics in scientific writing, research Grants and funding opportunities, requirements & techniques of writing and effective research paper and structure of a strong Research Plan Proposal.

To understand and learn the practical implications of research, it was mandatory for the participants to attend all the sessions of the workshop. The workshop concluded with an extremely informative session by Dr. N.K. Garg, on “how to write an effective research plan Proposal” It was a learning experience for all. The contributions of various resource persons to the workshop were invaluable and of immense intellectual significance.
