Objective of the workshop/seminar/activity: to acquaint the students about basics of digital marketing as a tool for product promotion and job prospects in the field.

 

 

Description:

 

Department of CS & IT and Department of Management Studies IIS (deemed to be UNIVERSITY) organized a Workshop on Digital Marketing on 24 March 2017 at the Vinayak Hall, The IIS University. The workshop was well handled by Mr. Mridul Kabra, CEO and Co-Founder at Quadrigo, an innovative Digital Marketing hub. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Anubha Jain, Dept of CS & IT and Dr. Chhavi Jain, Department of Management Studies.

 

Mr. Kabra highlighted the job prospects as a digital marketer to the students. He told students how they can become social media marketers and digital content strategists. He also advised students to help companies in developing; integrating and analyzing the digital brand with use of software and tools that would exclusively and efficiently market the company product/services. Through practical examples and case studies he taught students how they can help in the promotion of business by using Search Engine Marketing (through Google Ad words, Bing, Facebook and LinkedIn) - Lead generation, Data analysis and revenue management –Website Audit, Usability and Conversion Optimization and monitoring. 125 students of BCA and BBA got benefited by this workshop. This workshop will definitely be helpful for students in carving out a new area for the career prospects.

 

Outcome of the activity/event/seminar/workshop:

 

The students learned about the use of digital marketing as a tool to promote products and the job perspectives in the same.
